We are a top-ranked Farmers Insurance District Office supporting a network of agents across Albuquerque and Northern New Mexico. With over 70,000 policies in force across auto, home, and other lines, our district is a hub of growth and opportunity. We are looking for a Commercial Specialist to join our team and build a commercial book of business.

Position Overview :

The Commercial Specialist will partner with our agency group to identify, develop, and service commercial insurance opportunities. This role is ideal for an insurance professional with prior experience in commercial lines who thrives on building relationships, driving growth, and supporting agents in delivering tailored solutions for their clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with our agency force to expand commercial insurance production.
  • Provide expertise, guidance, and training to agents on commercial products and underwriting.
  • Assist with quoting, marketing, and placing commercial risks.
  • Develop strong relationships with carriers, underwriters, and agency staff to drive placement and retention.
  • Leverage our districts 70k+ policy base to cross-sell and generate commercial opportunities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, products, and compliance requirements.

    • Requirements

  • Previous insurance experience required (commercial lines strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of commercial products (BOP, GL, WC, Commercial Auto, Property, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple agents.
  • Active insurance license in Property & Casualty (or ability to obtain).
