Graduate Civil Engineer

Selectek is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is an excellent contract-to-direct opportunity for someone with a strong academic background and practical experience in infrastructure, land development, and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to a variety of civil engineering tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in civil engineering design and analysis for projects including roads, stormwater drainage systems, and site development.
• Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, and calculations under the direction of senior engineers.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data, support development, and ensure design accuracy.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering software to assist in producing project plans.
• Perform data collection, feasibility studies, and cost estimates to support design decisions.
• Ensure that designs comply with local regulations, engineering standards, and safety codes.
• Assist project teams with administrative and coordination tasks, including documentation and permitting support.

Preferred Software Experience:

• Familiarity with PondPack, StormCAD, and/or ICPR4 hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent civil design platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
• EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification or currently pursuing it (preferred).
• 0–3 years of relevant work or internship experience.
• Working knowledge of local engineering codes and design standards is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00/hr
Term: 6-month temp to perm
