Job Title: Fixed Asset Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fixed Asset Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's fixed asset portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
- Perform regular reconciliations of fixed asset accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate physical inventories of fixed assets and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze reports on fixed asset transactions and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies related to fixed assets.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to fixed assets.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for fixed asset transactions.

Required Skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or a related role.
