Responsibilities Primary work location is an echocardiography department with potential coverage for outreach locations including Cannon Falls and Lake City Patient population includes neonate through geriatric cases Duties include adult and pediatric echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and stress echo procedures Staff participate in outreach, on-call rotation, and holiday, evening, or weekend coverage as needed Requires availability for 24-hour call with a 30-minute response time Uses Epic EMR; prior experience preferred Independently perform comprehensive echocardiograms and integrate multiple imaging modalities to obtain accurate patient data Document patient and exam information using the Echo Information Management System and necessary computer applications Assist with orientation and training for trainees, students, and visitors assigned to cardiovascular services Expectations include proficiency with all imaging equipment and specialties, understanding of sterile technique, and proper precaution for radiation and infection hazards COVID vaccination and booster are required Assignments may last up to one year with a mandatory 30-60 day break before returning for another assignment Travelers are expected to complete lab testing within 24 hours of assignment commitment Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in adult and pediatric cardiac sonography including transesophageal and stress echo procedures Associate's degree or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program required Current ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification required BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) Must demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic and patient care procedures Must be able to tolerate frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders, and occasional twisting License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-599402.
