About The Position

Certifications : Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
Must-Have : ACLS certification, moderate sedation and PACU experience preferred
Description :
This position is for a Circulating RN responsible for the delivery of care in the peri-operative setting.
The role involves the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adult patients.
The Circulating RN coordinates with the surgical team, including the surgeon and anesthesiologist, as well as pre and post-operative nurses and surgical techs.
Maintaining standards of professional nursing is essential to this role.
The nurse may be asked to train other nurses in the unit.
Equipment utilized includes computerized charting and Meditech.
Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, either from 8 AM to 5 PM or three 12-hour shifts.
Occasional on-call night shifts may be required.
The nurse-to-patient ratio in this unit is 1 : 1.
Scrubs will be provided by the facility.
Participation in on-call duties is required.
