Additional Information About the Role As a CT procedure coordinator at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with world-renowned radiologists and advanced CT Technologist who use the latest diagnostic and therapeutic tools to help make life-changing decisions for the patient and help develop our field. The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital pioneered many radiological milestones including work on 3-D treatment planning for cancer, and became the first in Missouri to combine PET and CT scanning. You will be working with an organization on the leading edge of diagnostic radiology. In fact, our radiology department is regarded as one of the top five in the United States, and performs over 453,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Coordinates the care of patients in need of special procedures in various radiology areas. Responsibilities Obtains insurance information and pre-certification room referring physician or insurance company. Maintains files and records on all patients, coordinates transportation for inpatients, and performs patient procedure follow-up as instructed. Coordinates the flow of all examinations by working closely with the radiologists, technical staff and the referring physicians offices. Monitors patient‘s physiological and psychological needs and reports patient concerns to appropriate staff member, physician or supervisor.
