Job Details :

Provide clinical ophthalmology services and surgical procedures in a busy practice setting Work two weeks on, two weeks off rotation schedule First week focused on surgeries and procedures; second week dedicated to follow-ups Monday to Friday schedule from 8AM-5PM with no call requirements Manage approximately 20 patient encounters per shift Must be productive, seeing no less than 4 clinic patients per hour Perform 12-14 procedures / surgeries per day Conduct required anterior segment procedures including cataract removals using various techniques (phacoemulsification, extracapsular extraction, intracapsular extraction) Handle intraocular lens implants, glaucoma procedures, and corneal procedures Perform intra-ocular injections as required Interpret ultrasound (A and B-Scan), photos, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography Must be able to administer injections Work with two supporting MAs who are highly efficient and knowledgeable BLS certification required Must have active Michigan license or be eligible through IMLC Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
