Day in the life — Tualatin, OR
Step onto the shop floor and set the tone for quality. You’ll dial in your MIG parameters, prep and fit material, read complex prints, and lay down clean, consistent welds. Throughout the day, you’ll perform in-process checks, keep your station organized, and partner with teammates to solve fit-up and fabrication challenges. You’ll also share tips with junior welders and keep sharpening your own craft through ongoing training.
What you will handle
- Set up and operate MIG equipment to fabricate and assemble metal parts.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan each build.
- Inspect welds and assemblies to verify quality and conformance.
- Maintain a tidy, safe work area and follow shop safety procedures.
- Work with peers to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
- Help mentor less-experienced welders and fabricators.
- Participate in continuous training and skill development.
What you bring
Proven MIG welding experience.Fluency reading technical documents and blueprints.Meticulous attention to detail with a pride in workmanship.Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable working solo or on a crew.Solid understanding of welding shop safety practices.Physical stamina to move, lift, and position heavy materials and equipment.Proficiencies
