OverviewWe are seeking 6 skilled Shipfitters to join our dynamic team in Mobile, AL. As a Shipfitter, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and construction of ships, ensuring that all components are fitted accurately and efficiently. ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Measure and mark materials for cutting and assembly.Fit and assemble metal structures and components for shipbuilding.Use hand tools and power tools to shape and join materials.Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance.Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects on time.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety protocols.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training in shipfitting or related field preferred.Proven experience as a shipfitter or in a similar role.Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes and materials.Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on different shifts as needed.

Salary info : $34 - $34 / hr
