About The Position

Job Title : Pediatric Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12H Day / Night Rotate

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : 2 years of Pediatric experience

License : Active RN license in ND or compact state

Certifications : BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric experience on a general floor or higher level of care
• Active BLS certification from AHA
• Active PALS certification from AHA
• Ability and willingness to care for adult overflow on occasion
• Must be able to float to NICU as needed

Description :

Provide care for patients aged 0-18 years.

Occasional rare adult overflow.

Work in a blended unit caring for all diagnoses.

Handle medical, orthopedic, surgical, oncology, behavioral health, and rehabilitation patients.

Perform procedures such as spinal taps, bone marrows, I&D of wounds, complex dressing changes, wound care, transfusions, IVs, and NG tube placements.

Assist physicians with procedures.

Utilize Epic charting and scanning medicine system.

Maintain a nurse to patient ratio of 3-4 on days and evenings and 4-5 on nights based on acuity.

Wear navy blue scrubs; child-friendly scrub tops are allowed.

Additional attire includes gray-white or navy t-shirts under scrubs, and logo t-shirts.

Complete 3 days of unit-specific training.

Floating to the NICU and other departments may be required.

Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
