THE WORK :

  • You’ll conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, local, and company standards, while reviewing and updating Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and site-specific safety plans.
  • You’ll ensure subcontractors and vendors meet safety contractual obligations before work commences.
  • You’ll perform pre-task safety assessments to identify hazards such as fall risks, electrical hazards, and heavy equipment operations.
  • You’ll lead risk assessments for high-risk activities—including scaffolding, trenching, crane operations, and confined spaces—and enforce control measures.
  • You’ll collaborate with engineers and superintendents to implement engineering controls such as guardrails, PPE, and ventilation systems.
  • You’ll investigate all incidents, near-misses, and violations by documenting root causes, witness statements, and corrective actions.
  • You’ll maintain incident logs, perform trend analysis, and report findings to project leadership, insurance providers, and regulatory bodies.
  • You’ll conduct new hire safety orientations and toolbox talks on topics such as fall protection, fire prevention, and equipment safety.
  • You’ll develop and deliver specialized safety training programs including forklift certification, lockout / tagout, and hazardous materials handling.
  • You’ll foster a proactive safety culture by engaging workers, recognizing safe behaviors, and addressing unsafe acts promptly.
  • Onsite at client site : The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
  • HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated expertise in EPA standards (OSHA plus), OSHA 500 (Authorized Outreach Trainer) or OSHA 510 and Safety or a related field
  • BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE :

  • Tactful enforcement of rules without creating adversarial relationships
  • Clear emergency directive delivery during incidents
  • Adapting training for multilingual crews (Spanish proficiency is a plus)
  • Navigating subcontractor safety accountability challenges
  • Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.
