Performance Test Engineer

Steampunk is seeking a Performance Test Engineer who will provide testing and QA expertise in mission critical work across our client base.

Responsibilities will include testing and verification of code, reporting and recording defects, coordination with architects, functional analysts, and developers on testing and testing results, documenting test scripts, participating in design reviews, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities. This individual will also work in an Agile environment and participate in scrum ceremonies and product planning activities.

As a

Performance Test Engineer , you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud, and data systems development. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience with quality assurance and test automation practices in an Agile / DevSecOps work environment. Responsibilities include :

• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• Meeting with product design team to determine testing parameters
• Designing, developing, and executing performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios to simulate load, stress, volume, and scalability conditions
• Managing test data architecture definition and requests
• Troubleshooting errors and streamline the test procedures

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
