Role Overview
Ensure INDOT executives, INDOT employees, INDOT vendors, federal representatives, and other State of Indiana employees utilize INDOT ESRI and GIS platforms as well as possible. The successful candidate will facilitate highly effective GIS portfolio engagement for all stakeholders. This position is a key role in oversights of the agency ESRI / GIS platforms and related technology such as Feature Manipulation Engine. The candidate is expected to be the foremost expert on INDOT's linear referencing system and attributes of assets classes that are stored in the geo-databases. This position also plays a key role in educating the customers and end-users on best practices for GIS tools, products and utilization.
You will be the technical product owner for GIS systems including the operation and maintenance of INDOT's ESRI and GIS systems. The enterprise GIS Director is a contributor as well as manager of a team of GIS specialists. The ideal candidate is proficient in ESRI Roads & Highways and linear reference systems, geodatabase administration, and geodata modeling.
Salary Statement
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $93,002.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and / or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
