Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details : \n

  • Work Monday through Friday from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM in Employee Health department

    • \n

  • Function as an occupational health nurse for employees, contract staff, volunteers, students, and physicians

    • \n

  • Provide first aid and utilize physical assessment skills to evaluate work-related injuries, illnesses, or exposures

    • \n

  • Manage workers' compensation cases including case management, reporting, and follow-up care until closure

    • \n

  • Collaborate with EHS Medical Director, Third Party Claims Administrator, treating providers, and department managers

    • \n

  • Utilize clinical expertise and independent judgment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

    • \n

  • Required certifications : Current California RN License and current BCLS Certification

    • \n

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

    • \n

  • Minimum 5 years hospital experience required, with 1 year in employee health or occupational health preferred

    • \n

  • Knowledge of California Workers' Compensation law and case management preferred

    • \n

  • Must demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task

    • \n

  • Computer literacy required including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel

    • \n

  • Use documentation systems : Enterprise Health and Viligenz

    • \n

  • No floating policy - remain in assigned department

    • \n

  • Dress code requirement : Navy scrubs

    • \n

  • Must maintain high level of customer service and confidentiality per HIPAA requirements

    • \n\n
