S&cs Operations - Customer Visits Intern

The devices we make at SEL are embedded in the power grid. They prevent blackouts. They make outages safer and shorter in duration; they add cybersecurity, automation, and communication. They use cutting-edge technologies and operate at speeds that push other pieces of the grid to go faster. As a S&CS Operations - Customer Visits Intern, you'll provide support to customers visiting SEL.

Assist with planning, organizing, and executing internal and external customer events.

Support S&CS Customer Visit Team staff and provide assistance during large visits.

Manage small to medium visit tasks simultaneously.

Order catering and coordinate event setup changes.

Monitor events in real time and implement improvements.

Answer phone calls and emails to professionally communicate with customers.

Collect, analyze, and report customer visit feedback.

Provide general administrative support.

Support project teams by maintaining project files, reports, schedules, budgets, and summary spreadsheets.

Continuously identify, measure, and improve S&CS Operations processes.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

Ability to work part time during the school year

Ability to work independently

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Direct customer service and hospitality experience

Strong computer skills with experience in MS Excel and MS Word

Excellent writing, speaking, documentation, and proofreading skills

Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Background check results satisfactory to SEL

Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications :

Current student pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management or related field

Ability to work full-time during the summer

Ability to lift and move equipment (tables and chairs)

Washington State Food Handlers Card

This position is based in our Pullman, WA headquarters. Pullman is home to one of Washington State's top school districts and enjoys beautiful 4 seasons.

Pay Range Data :

($16.80 - $19.00 per hour)
