Position Description: Director of Marketing & Analytics
Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
Grade Level: 15 Exempt
Full Salary Range: $106,543.75 - $159,815.63
Hiring Salary Range: $106,543.75 - $133,179.69
Primary Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing & Analytics leads the strategic planning, execution, and measurement of all marketing initiatives for Alero Financial. This role is responsible for driving awareness, growth, and engagement across membership, products, services, and delivery channels while ensuring marketing performance is measurable, optimized, and aligned with organizational objectives.
This position builds upon Alero Financial’s legacy marketing leadership role by embedding analytics, reporting, and insight-driven decision-making into every aspect of marketing strategy and execution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership
· Direct the successful promotion of Alero Financial membership, products, services, and delivery channels.
· Align marketing strategy with Alero’s strategic plan, revenue goals, and growth initiatives.
· Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistent messaging, voice, and visual identity across all markets and channels.
· Advocate throughout the organization for consistent, high-quality member experience.
· Work in partnership with Alero’s advertising/media agency of record to create, implement and track all components of the marketing effort.
Promotions, Advertising, & Awareness Programs
· Research, propose, and implement marketing promotions aligned with strategic initiatives.
· Conduct cost/benefit analysis for promotions and campaigns.
· Refresh and evolve promotions to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
· Establish and oversee the annual advertising and awareness plan, in conjunction with the agency of record, including campaign scheduling, media mix, and budget allocation.
· Coordinate and execute marketing components of Alero’s annual business plan.
Products, Services & Market Responsiveness
· Oversee marketing support for new product and service development, launches, and enhancements.
· Continually review and recommend updates to existing products and services based on market data and performance insights.
· React to market research, member surveys, and performance data to inform strategy.
Member Communication & Experience
· Ensure all communications support and reinforce the Alero brand.
· Oversee website, social media, and digital presence with an emphasis on usability, clarity, and engagement.
· Prepare and guide press releases and external communications consistent with brand standards.
· Propose and implement enhancements that improve the member experience across all touchpoints.
Analytics, Measurement & Reporting
Marketing Analytics Strategy
· Establish a comprehensive analytics framework to measure awareness, engagement, conversion, and member growth.
· Define success metrics for campaigns, promotions, and ongoing marketing initiatives.
· Ensure analytics are embedded into marketing planning from inception.
Performance Tracking & Monitoring
· Oversee tracking across all marketing channels, including website, email, social media, paid advertising, creative and PR.
· Monitoring campaign performance at a regular cadence and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Reporting & Insights
· Prepare clear, actionable reports for senior leadership.
· Translate data into insights and recommendations, not just activity summaries.
· Develop executive – and board-level reporting focused on outcomes, impact, and ROI.
· Support partner, grant, and stakeholder reporting needs as required.
Optimization & Continuous Improvement
· Use analytics to refine messaging, targeting, channel strategy, and budget allocation.
· Recommend strategic adjustments based on performance data.
· Lead post-campaign evaluations and institutionalize learning across the organization.
Leadership & Management
· Ensure marketing department structure and resources support strategic priorities.
· Create and manage the annual marketing budget.
· Develop, mentor, and support marketing team members.
· Coordinate with external agencies and vendors.
· Reallocate resources as needed to address unplanned or emerging initiatives.
· Keep the team informed of marketing trends and nest practices.
Senior Leadership Responsibilities
· Participate in senior management activities.
· Execute marketing components of Alero’s strategic plan
· Support business continuity planning as required.
· Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all federal, state, and organizational policies.
