Requires travel to the following Vascular Associates offices : Dupont Rd., Audubon, Downtown, Dixie, Brownsboro, Shelbyville, Clarksville, Elizabethtown, Campbellsville, Leitchfield, and Corydon, IN.

Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner in the medical office setting. Responsibilities of the role include :

• Taking patients to rooms
• Greeting patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Scheduling appointments
• Assisting with medical procedures
• Answering phones
• Performing phlebotomy
• Clerical & computer work
• Prior authorizations
• Billing and coding
• Faxing
• Disability & Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork
• Adhering to safety and infection guidelines
• Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR)
• Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations
