Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician in Assembly that assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on parts.
Essential Job Functions:
- Preform all product testing to ensure quality of each piece
- Test finished products for defects
- Maintain the tools used to create products
- Assembles products and parts
- Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Verify specifications by measuring completed component
- Monitors the production line and removes faulty products
- Performing assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks
- Conducting quality checks on the functionality of parts and components
- Adding finishing touches to the appearance of components
- Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner
- Keeping equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time
- Complying with internal policies and industry regulations
- Ensure work area is clean and safe

Required Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work Environment: Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.
Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
