We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and their owners and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary staff and ensuring the well-being of our patients and clients.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including but not limited to) :
Previous experience or training / education in a veterinary facilityMust be friendly, outgoing, "people oriented"Excellent communication skillsMust be capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties, telephone and computer skills are necessaryMust be a team player willing to learn new techniques, treatments, and accept changeMedical Related Skills and Duties (including but not limited to) :
Preparing and restraining animals during proceduresAbility to use a stethoscopeAdvising pet owners on proper care, etc.Create and review treatment plans with clientsDemonstrate excellent relations with client / pets in the waiting area and exam roomsExceed the client's expectations of serviceCompassionate nursing care is the top priority for all patientsHousekeeping / maintenanceSome front desk duties as neededAbility to perform a cursory examination of an animalAbility to recognize potential patient issuesClearly communicate your findings to a doctorRecord keepingFill prescription and dispense medications as prescribed by the doctor, etc.Education and Physical Requirements :
