About The Position

Job Title : Physical Therapist II

Shift : Monday to Friday

Hours per Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Experience : 18 months of experience in an acute healthcare system environment

License : Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of California

Certifications : Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have :

  • Eighteen (18) months of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute healthcare system environment.
  • Training and experience in completing internal pelvic floor exams and treatment.
  • Competence in treating all adult pelvic health conditions.
  • Demonstrates competency in Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Quality Reporting Program (IRF QRP).
  • Experience with a range of diagnoses including general medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary.

Description :

The Physical Therapist II assesses individual patients' Physical Therapy needs.

The therapist establishes and implements a treatment program.

This role reviews medical history, applies screening tests, and consults with patients and families to determine clinical needs, impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities.

The therapist determines a plan of care that includes appropriate interventions, expected intensity, duration of therapy, and discharge recommendations.

Education is provided to patients, families, and caregivers regarding the purpose of activities, use of equipment, home exercise, and activity.

Regular re-examinations are performed, outcomes measured, and feedback is sought from patients, families, and the interdisciplinary medical team.

The Physical Therapist II oversees the clinical work of the Physical Therapist Assistant and Rehabilitation Aide.

The therapist manages multiple patients simultaneously and provides care in various clinical settings.

Services and documentation are provided timely, accurately, and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Participation in continuing education is encouraged, and new staff may be educated and oriented.

The therapist may act as a clinical instructor for students and interns.

Participation in educational events within the clinic and community is expected.

Attendance at specific clinical education coursework meeting state guidelines and providing in-services to staff is required.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
