APPLICATION ENGINEER

Position Objective: Responsible for the product application and support of HVAC control systems, including design, programming, project management, technical sales support, and commissioning/service.

The Essential Functions of the position include the following:

• Devise, Implement, and Review control system designs/plans for small–large projects incorporating sequence of operations, and integration with heating and cooling plants
• Interface with property owners, facility managers, building managers, controls integrators, and contractors on technical issues associated with controls network
• Survey and analyze existing HVAC and control equipment to provide conversion plan for retrofit projects
• Develop and maintain controls specifications, drawings, and documentation to support controls system design, sales, and support

Qualifications:

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or technical degree in HVAC control systems
• Basic computer networking proficiency required, especially with LANs, Hubs, Routers, etc.
• Strong communication, presentation, training, and technical writing skills
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Team oriented, self-motivated, and likes to work hands-on
• Prepared to travel locally out of the office as required by the project
