About The Position

Wellhart is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in Ohio. This 15-day assignment starts on 07 / 01 / 2025, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive emergency care, working 12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM or 8 PM to 8 AM, including nights and weekends. Responsibilities include managing an emergency department, overseeing APPs, writing admission orders, and collaborating with various specialists. The successful applicant should be comfortable with Emergency Medicine procedures and be proficient with Allscripts electronic health record system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care
• Manage and treat patients in an emergency department
• Oversee Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Write admission orders for patients requiring hospitalization
• Handle 15-20 patients per shift
• Utilize Allscripts electronic health record system for documentation
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, urologists, and hematologists / oncologists as needed
• Adhere to emergency department protocols and best practices
• Maintain efficiency in a moderate-volume emergency setting
