Job Description

• The Director of Engineering will function as the Controls SME and interface with the other engineering teams as well as technicians to produce custom automated filling systems.
• They will do so by working directly with Sales / Applications to get customer feedback of needs and industry trends; customers and service teams to address issues and usability; manufacturing to create machines that are up to company standards.
• They need to have extensive hands on controls experience as well as the ability to work dynamically with cross functional teams.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE :

10+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer working with an automation OEM or integrator

5+ years of experience programming Allen Bradley PLC's

5+ years of experience with custom HMI development

2+ years of experience leading an engineering or R&D team

Project Management experince

Experience with programming VFD, servos, and AC / DC drives

Experience with Ethernet or Modbus network protocols

Experience with control system validation for custom machines

BS in Electrical Engineering or related

NICE TO HAVE :

Experience with automated filling machines

Experience with control panel design using AutoCAD

Experience with Automation Direct DirectSoft PLC's
