In-Home Therapy Clinician – Master Level

Mass Behavioral Health Center (MBHC) is currently seeking an experienced candidate for an In-Home Therapy Clinician. The ideal person will be teamed with a support clinician to serve the Worcester communities and can advocate for community support and services on behalf of individuals and families.

Position Description :  Are you a clinician who wants to empower and inspire families to achieve their goals? Do you want to gain experience in diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions? MBHC is seeking a passionate, empowering clinician to support clients within their diverse home environments utilizing the Wraparound and the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) models. MBHC is a licensed mental health clinic located in Worcester, MA, which serves disadvantaged and disenfranchised community members and is expanding its services to surrounding communities.

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for underserved children, young people, families, and individuals to promote and strengthen their mental, spiritual, and physical health. We provide individual and group counseling, psychopharmacology, and in-home services in a variety of languages. As an in-home clinician, you make a difference by providing family-driven in-home therapeutic services through the Wraparound and CBHI Approach.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Clinicians support the diverse and complex needs of clients and their entire family system by providing intensive weekly services, including caregiver coaching sessions and evidence-based individual and family sessions.
  • Clinicians complete comprehensive assessments (Biopsychosocial and CANS), develop a strength-based treatment plan in collaboration with the family, and assist caretakers during crisis through crisis intervention, safety planning, and communicating with Emergency Services when appropriate.
  • Clinicians further support families through empowerment and advocacy while coordinating services with your team members and other treatment providers, including CBHI services, primary care physicians, and schools. DCF, DYS, and DMH.
  • Your responsibilities include flexibility to accommodate the scheduling needs of families, meeting weekly productivity targets, maintaining up-to-date insurance authorizations, maintaining an up-to-date medical record, and participating in rotating on-call schedules to support families outside of regular business hours.
  • You will be supported through ongoing training in the Wraparound and CBHI Models, billing practices, exposure and collaboration with other community systems, training in evidence-based and trauma-informed models, and consistent weekly supervision.

  • Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Requires a master’s degree in either psychology, Mental health counseling, Social work, or Family therapy
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • English speaking or bilingual English / Spanish speaking or any other languages a plus
  • CANS Certification

  • Physical Nature of the Job :

    Light work : Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
