Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Ortho / Neuro night shift position in Wisconsin requiring a WI or compact license, BLS, and NIHSS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an Ortho / Neuro Med / Surg unit in a hospital setting
  • Cares for patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions
  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
  • 13-week assignment
  • Travel RN may be required to float to other units
  • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and policies
  • Document patient care activities according to established standards of care
  • Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
  • Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and elevate concerns through proper channels
  • Provide guidance and clinical expertise to other units in support of patient care continuity

  • Active WI or compact RN license
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Flu
  • Experience in Med / Surg, Ortho, or Neuro nursing required
