Job brief

Performs traditional Flexo print rewind functions to convert prime labels.

Responsibilities

Operate label rewinder to produce job according to specification.

Prepare machines for slitting and rewinding.

Load substrate, install tooling and rewind press rolls.

Ensure that print, die cutting, and label count meet specifications.

Web press rolls through the rewinder and adjust feed and tension controls.

Search for and correct problems.

Inspect labels while rewinding.

Make quick corrections to avoid expensive losses of substrate.

Oil and clean the rewinder and make minor repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance.

Requirements

Machine operator experience a plus.

Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability

Resourcefulness and problem-solving

A team player with great communication skills

Physical strength and stamina – must be able to lift rewound rolls up to 25 lbs.
