Compensation : $90,000 - $105,000

Our client, a well-established and growing organization in Central Florida, is seeking a Property Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of properties. This role will lead the month-end close process, manage reporting, and partner with leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities of the Property Controller
Oversee full-cycle accounting for assigned property portfolio
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and reporting packages
Manage and mentor accounting staff (AP / AR / Staff Accountants)
Maintain and reconcile property-level general ledger accounts
Review budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
Assist with audits and external financial reviews
Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, internal controls, and reporting
Serve as financial point of contact for internal leadership and property operations teams
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in property or real estate accounting
Experience managing or reviewing the work of AP, AR, or Staff Accountants
Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial reporting
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred :
Experience with multi-property or multi-entity accounting
Background in hospitality, multifamily, real estate investment, or property management
CPA or working toward certification
