Sales Representative & Systems Designer

The Sales Representative & Systems Designer will combine their sales and technical skills to sell HVAC systems and services to residential and commercial customers. The Sales Representative is responsible for presenting the company’s full line of products and services in a professional manner consistent with the company’s image as a high-quality provider of these products and services.
Qualifications :
Two years prior outside sales experience, preferably in HVAC or home product & services “big ticket” item salesHigh school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary HVAC / R training, related associate / bachelor's degree preferredAbility to read and interpret HVAC prints, diagrams, and schematics and assist with systems’ designExcellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skillsStrong mechanical and mathematical aptitudeComputer proficiency with daily use of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook and company inventory / ordering softwareWillingness to be highly involved in the Community and use of likeness in advertising materialsKnowledge of geographic market area (South Central Pennsylvania and Western Maryland)Valid Driver’s license with clean Motor Vehicle Record per company’s insurance standardsDuties & Responsibilities :
Sales and Design
Secure orders from potential and existing customers. This may include on-site visits, in-office consultations, electronic and written correspondence, trade and consumer shows, social and community events, etc.Prepare and present written proposals to all prospects, consistent with the prospects’ requests and requirementsPerform or provide required engineering and / or design per company guidelines on all estimates or proposalsEnsure timely and consistent follow-up with all prospects not yet closedMake joint sales calls with the sales manager or team members as requestedMaintain customer contact during the project and upon completion to ensure satisfaction & fulfillment of servicesMaintain records of sales-related leads, contact information, referrals and future opportunitiesUse all available resources and cold calling techniques to secure referrals or other leads on your ownAssist in the design of promotions, customer incentives, advertisements and other methods to stimulate salesAttend training courses and all regularly scheduled sales meetingsWork a non-standard schedule with evening and weekend hours at timesRemain current of industry trends, recent technology and all local, state, national and industry codes and regulationsAdministrative
Maintain a professional working relationship with the sales manager, sales coordinator, dispatcher, installation crews, technicians, office staff and product suppliersAccurately convey all needed information to the installation crew or technician prior to the start of the jobComplete and submit all paperwork (proposals, credit reports, financing papers, utility forms, etc.)Assist in collection of current and overdue accountsCompensation and Schedule Overview :
