About the Role :
Kinetic's OSP Engineering organization plans and designs cutting edge outside plant networks that connect consumers and small business partners to our leading telecommunications products across the United States. As a member of Kinetic's Central Engineering team, you will partner with our internal and external OSP planners, engineers, permitting specialists, and construction managers to deliver high quality Engineering design packages to Kinetic's Construction organization. By analyzing and reporting on a dynamic flow of engineering data, you will provide insights that drive the OSP Engineering organization's success and play a key role in deploying ultra-fast, reliable broadband to consumers and small businesses across the U.S.
What You'll Do :
Interact with internal and external OSP Engineering and Construction teams to support the engineering design processCommunicate daily with other work groups, both technical and non-technical, to provide timely updates and pass on information in a clear and concise mannerTake ownership of assigned tasks, requests, and escalations to ensure they are addressed and completed within SLAAccess and analyze data from multiple IT systems used by OSP Engineering, such as JobTrac, Quickbase, WinBuy, SharePoint, and Power BIMonitor design status to determine when projects are ready for approval, finalize requirements, and route jobs for approval in JobTracGenerate and publish timely reporting to provide an accurate and concise overview of projects flowing through OSP EngineeringDevelop ad hoc reporting to provide additional project detail as requested by OSP leadershipIdentify data integrity issues, determine root causes, and provide recommendations on how to fix the problemsApply known standards and guidelines to resolve unusual or non-recurring eventsCommunicate with external engineering vendors to ensure work is being completed according to Windstream standards and timelines and escalate as necessaryCoordinate vendor access to required Kinetic systems and resourcesValidate vendor invoicing against approved jobs to ensure accuracyDo You Have?
Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and complete work assignments in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with minimal supervisionOutstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to summarize and present detailed information to technical and non-technical audiencesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to quickly understand requirements and identify appropriate solutions.Team-oriented and experienced at working in a collaborative environment. 4-year college degree in a technical (STEM) related fieldGeneral understanding of telecom industry concepts and terminologyGeneral understanding of outside plant engineering and construction principlesAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulasExperience using Quickbase, Power BI, or TableauFamiliarity with SQL and query writingCollege degree with 0-3 years of relevant professional experience or 4+ years of relevant professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
