Job description

Client Trading Senior Associate

State Street Investment Management, the asset management division of State Street Corporation, is actively hiring a Client Trading Senior Associate. This Associate level position will report to the Client Trading Manager in the corporate headquarters at the Channel Center Building in Boston.

The Client Trading Senior Associate works closely with Client Trading management, portfolio managers, operations teams, custody teams, and other internal and external clients. The associate is expected to be proactive; solutions oriented and demonstrate sound judgment on issue escalation and resolution.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Apply understanding of complex internal structures and context surrounding information being processed to perform daily activities
  • Respond to and resolve complex issues on a case by case basis in a timely manner following established operating procedures
  • Assist Associates on resolving more complex issues and escalate to senior management as required
  • Input trades and audit appropriately to our Cash Portal trade system
  • Participates in team projects as requested by management
  • Develops and implements new initiatives and assists with process re-engineering and systems integrations
  • Ensure team is achieving accuracy and meeting pre-determined deadlines to meet internal and external standards
  • Maintain working knowledge of overall process operating model and assist with deployment of operational changes
  • Provide performance feedback to manager for input into My Workday
  • Resolve issues and prioritize actions in the absence of the direct manager
  • Prepare and coordinate cash movement with custodians
  • Conform with the 'risk' escalation chain e.g. for operational issues and suspicious transactions
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years in financial services
  • Work experience or demonstrated ability for strong time management capabilities
  • Math and STEM background preferred
  • Ability to work in a complex, global, fast-paced environment and deliver solid action-oriented results quickly.
  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent collaborative, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong problem resolution and analytical skills
  • Local presence conducive to commuting to the State Street Quincy office 4 times per week
  • Salary Range : $52,000 - $75,400 Annual
