3rd shift Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor

Supervise, train, monitor, identify and assign work tasks, performance manage and otherwise direct the work of multiple employees within the facility while utilizing established documentation, tools, quality, and production concepts in accordance with established safety procedures to assist production operators and cell leads to process and construct finished and WIP product.

Principal Responsibilities

• Direct the work of multiple employees
• Communicate safety guidelines
• Work autonomously on projects
• Oversee supervision of all operators and technicians
• Work with planning and materials department
• Verify proper manufacturing documentation
• Ensure all SOPs are followed
• Assist the Plant Manager to meet daily goals
• Gather information and report problems
• Assist the operators and technicians to meet production goals
• Identify and co-champion continuous improvement
• Work closely with support staff
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience Requirements

Minimum of High School Diploma, Secondary education degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years of production experience, or equivalent, required. A minimum of 1 year direct or indirect supervisory experience, preferred. Experience in Lean Manufacturing, GMP, and ISO, preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

Demonstrated success in supervising and directing employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to utilize a variety of instructions in written, oral diagram or visual sample form, to process and construct acceptable finished goods and WIP product. Ability to demonstrate team building, problem solving and leadership skills, required. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint). Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, preferred. Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication. Strong organizational skills. Basic mathematics skills. Ability to sit frequently, stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but some areas of the facility require hearing protection. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
