Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all products from the creation and release of BOMs to final delivery of products.
  • Review, understand, and approve technical drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, fabrication and production teams to ensure seamless transitions from design to delivery.
  • As appropriate source components from alternative vendors to reduce item costs.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between design data, BOMs, stock items and fabricated items.
  • Implement engineering change processes by updating BOMs and ensuring changes are implemented for all in-process items and builds.
  • Review part numbers for duplication & redundant parts
  • Review / monitor the flow of BOM items through fabrication & production

Qualifications

  • Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred
  • Previous experience in a BOM-related or engineering support role preferred.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with either SAGE or a similar ERP and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • High attention to detail and a strong ability to interpret and evaluate technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
