Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technician with at least 18 months of cardiac cath experience and ACLS / BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a short-term acute care hospital's cardiac catheterization lab
  • Primary duties focus on scrub technologist responsibilities in the Cath Lab
  • Patients are adult cardiac cases
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
  • Floating required to sister facilities within 20 miles as needed
  • Call is required as part of the schedule
  • Uses EPIC EMR; experience preferred
  • Weekend requirements can be discussed with the manager
  • Main responsibilities include scrubbing and assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Ceil blue scrubs are required
  • All required RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration; late requests are not approved
  • Onsite parking is free in any unrestricted space
  • Training involves completion of time-sensitive modules and mandatory orientation testing
  • This is a smoke-free workplace with rigorous compliance policies regarding nicotine use
  • Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to the facility for one year following their previous end date

  • Minimum 18 months of recent, relevant experience in Cardiac Cath Lab; 2 years preferred
  • Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) or RCIS preferred
  • Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • License required if applicable
  • Must be nicotine-free; negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months prior to start
  • No pending licenses accepted and no license hits permitted
  • Must be able to float to sister facilities within 20 miles
  • Completion of EKG and Pharm tests during orientation, with only two attempts allowed for each
  • Submission of two references from a direct supervisor or manager required for consideration
