Shipping / Receiving Coordinator

Responsibilities :
- Process bills of lading, purchase orders, and all necessary documentation for domestic customer orders.
- Follow DOT, IATA, and IMO procedures for transporting hazardous materials.
- Retrieve product SDS Sheets and Certifications from the computer and send them to customers.
- Interpret instructions from shippers and various government bodies.
- Prepare and complete export documentation using templates, including Invoice, Packing List, Shipper's Letter of Instruction, Wood Certification, and Dangerous Goods Forms.
- Obtain quotes and negotiate rates for air, ground, and ocean shipments.
- Analyze and select the best carrier for shipping products.
- Schedule shipment of goods by contacting carriers via phone or email.
- Maintain positive relationships with regulatory freight forwarders, vendors, and customer service for export shipment expediting.
- Make shipping arrangements by detailing INCO Terms, shipping weights, dimensions, and addresses to freight forwarders.
- Contribute to Import / Export Custom Compliance audits and meetings.
- Resolve freight and trucking claims.
- Implement the latest editions of all shipping documents.
- Learn and implement UPS procedures and verify UPS package regulations.
- Assist the Shipping Manager / Supervisor in driving continuous improvement to the Safety Risk Assessment.
Essential Skills :
Experience in shipping and receiving.Experience with processing export and domestic documentation.Proficiency in SAP.High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.Experience with shipping documentation, inventory control, and logistics.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $23.00 / hr.
