Overview
Manages the Production Engineering department in carrying out all applicable company policies and procedures and achieving company goals & objectives. Provides technical support for manufacturing and supporting processes. Ensures compliance with regulatory, statutory, legal, and company requirements / guidelines.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong understanding of heat treatment principles, metallurgy, and material properties. Practical experience in heat treatment processes, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Communication
Effective communication skills to collaborate with other team members and customers. Ability to interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations, write reports, capital appropriation requests, and procedure manuals. Fluent in English. Japanese as a second language is helpful.
Problem-Solving
Problem-solving —Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges related to heat treatment.
Physical Demands
The PE Manager will be required to successfully complete an annual hazmat physical and maintain a physical condition to properly wear a respirator if / when needed. Required to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds.
