Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and acute rehab experience to join a Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Connecticut.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a 456-bed acute care hospital that is a Level II Trauma center
  • Primarily assigned to the acute rehab unit with an average daily census of 11
  • Work schedule is 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM with rotating weekend and holiday coverage
  • Cerner EMR system is used; prior Cerner experience preferred
  • Deliver patient-centered speech, language, and swallowing therapy services within the acute rehab unit
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient progress
  • Rotating coverage on weekends and holidays may be required
  • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a reduced pay rate

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Current CT Speech and Language Pathologist license required if applicable
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through ASHA required
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute rehab experience required
  • Two professional references from managers in the past year in the current discipline / specialty required
  • If any certification or license is expiring, documentation of renewal must be provided
