About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med / Surg. Correctional experience preferred.

License : IL License required upon submission

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have : Ability to float as needed and meet facility requirements.

Description :

The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in correctional care.

The shift schedule is 3 times a week, covering days from 11 : 00 to 23 : 30.

There are no block scheduling accommodations.

Clinicians will be required to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

This is a mandatory float facility, and all resources are expected to float at the facility's discretion.

Every other weekend coverage is required, with a total of 2 weekends per month.

Requests for time off are limited to 5 days maximum, with no more than 2 consecutive days off.

No time off is permitted on holidays or on the day before or after a holiday.

There are no requests for time off on weekends.

The facility may request that any clinician float outside of their primary unit as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles.

Notification may occur 2 hours prior to a shift for floating requirements.

If a clinician refuses to float, they may be subject to cancellation.

All candidates must provide proof of vaccinations prior to starting the assignment.

Boosters are not required.

Candidates must be responsive and provide estimated timelines for all required compliance items.

Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the assignment.

Failure to meet compliance expectations may impact continued employment in the position.
