Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction, project scheduling, and the ability to effectively manage resources, timelines, and budgets.
This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Assistant Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
This role offers fantastic benefits as well as a pay rate of $77,000 - $92,000 based on experience.
Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closing, supporting the Project Managers
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore for project tracking and reporting.
- Produce shop drawings using AutoCad or Revit
- Assist with project product submittals, LEED documentation, project specific safety documentation, product and finish samples, etc
- Draft subcontracts and purchase orders
- Assist PM with daily reports, project cost tracking, job cost projections and final job cost reviews
- Assist with field quality control, subcontractor coordination, buyout activities, and project closeout as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status for stakeholders.

Experience
Proven experience in construction management or project management within the commercial (not residential) construction industry.Proficiency in construction software and tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCad or Revit.Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, contracts, and construction processes.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management and project coordination.
