OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with patients of all ages. Your expertise will be essential in developing personalized care plans and facilitating the recovery process through therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health.
- Duties
- Assess patients needs and develop individualized treatment plans to improve their ability to perform daily activities (ADLs).
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and strategies for continued progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Work with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to promote engagement in meaningful activities.
- Conduct evaluations in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, schools, and home health environments.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and case management to inform treatment decisions.
- Participate in early intervention programs for pediatric patients to support developmental milestones.
- Qualifications
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Knowledge of speech therapy principles is a plus.
- Proven ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with healthcare professionals and patient education.
