Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Position Overview
Intralox's Digital Solutions team is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the build, deployment, and release management systems that support enterprise, manufacturing, and emerging machine-learning applications.
This is a strategic, high-visibility position with end-to-end responsibility for automation, pipeline design, release standards, and CI / CD modernization. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, IT teams, and ML specialists to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient digital platforms.
This role is fully remote , and candidates must be available during Central Standard Time working hours .
Key Responsibilities
Design, automate, and maintain build and deployment pipelines for Java, Oracle, Microsoft, and front-end applications.
Configure and optimize Buildkite pipelines, including multi-stage workflows, YAML definitions, self-hosted agents, and artifact management.
Support hybrid cloud environments by integrating Azure services with on-premises infrastructure.
Lead version-control governance using GitHub, including branching strategies and repository workflow standards.
Manage automated Oracle deployments using FlexDeploy, PL / SQL workflows, and WebLogic integrations.
Build, optimize, and troubleshoot Docker images and containerized build environments.
Develop scripting solutions in Groovy, Python, Bash, and Perl to automate tool integrations and system communication.
Execute production releases during off-peak windows, including Friday evenings when required.
Drive modernization of legacy build systems and assist in migrating to modern CI / CD platforms.
Maintain documentation, define release standards, and promote continuous improvement across DevOps practices.
Partner with software, infrastructure, and ML teams to align deployment workflows with evolving technical requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, or build automation.
Strong experience with :
Buildkite pipeline orchestration
FlexDeploy for Oracle deployments
GitHub version control and branching standards
Azure hybrid cloud environments
Docker and container optimization
Scripting in Groovy, Python, Bash, and Perl
Demonstrated ability to scale automated build and deployment systems across complex application stacks.
Experience with Java, Oracle, and Microsoft build ecosystems.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and IT teams and work independently in a self-managed environment.
Work & Travel Requirements
Fully remote role requiring availability during Central Standard Time (CST) business hours.
Production releases may occur during Friday evening or weekend windows.
Occasional travel to New Orleans (approximately 2-3 times per year ) for team meetings and engineering summits.
