Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Pediatrics Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Pediatrics Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in NYC. Job Function : Day Shift and Night Shift. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse. Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays. Initiates corrective action whenever the patient. Job Requirements : A bachelor’s degree in nursing. Certification as a registered nurse for pediatric care in the state of New York. 2 years of experience in hospital setting as a Peds acute nurse. BLS and ACLS from the AHA are required. PALS certification required.
