Sterile Processing Technician Certified, Full Time, Benefited, Days, 8hours, 1.0fte
JOB SUMMARY
Under direct or in-direct supervision, coordinates the overall cleaning, decontamination, assembly and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies needed for daily surgical procedures in surgery and related departments. Collaborates extensively with department leadership and functions with a high degree of self-direction. Performs related duties as required. May assist in departmental in-services and training. Must hold current CS / SPD Certification with either the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience : One (1) year experience in instrument processing required.
Sterile Processing Technician Certification : Must hold current CS / SPD Certification.
PAY RANGE
$38.53 to $42.38 per hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
