Job Title : Independent Retail Pharmacist

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization
  • Above-average interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills

Description :

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Independent Retail Pharmacist to join our community-focused pharmacy team.

As an Independent Retail Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalized healthcare services and patient-centered care.

You will build strong relationships with customers, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

You will contribute to the overall well-being of the community.

Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer, you will be responsible for all areas of retail pharmaceutical services.

This includes the procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications by appropriate staff.

The role is critical in providing patient-focused care and fostering community trust.

This personalized, customer-oriented approach sets us apart from chain retailers and makes our pharmacy an integral part of the healthcare ecosystem.

Position qualifications include :

  • Meeting the requirements set forth by current federal, state, and local laws governing retail pharmaceutical services.
  • Maintaining the required continuing education hours annually to assure continued competence.
  • Producing deliverable products on time and within budget with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrating organizational ability and time management.
  • Communicating appropriately and clearly with directors, managers, and coworkers.
  • Key responsibilities include :

  • Compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care.
  • Reviewing prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy.
  • Directing pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
  • Actively engaging with patients regarding customer service programs.
  • Maintaining established procedures concerning quality assurance and security of controlled substances.
  • Instructing interns and other pharmacy personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • You will demonstrate professional behavior while on duty and as a representative of the organization.

    You must function independently, possess personal integrity, and have the flexibility to work effectively with others.

    The working environment requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and walk intermittently during working hours.

    You should be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

    This position requires commitment to exhibit the mission and goals of the organization in the performance of job duties.

    You will participate actively in the annual evaluation and complete work as scheduled.
