Special Assistant Attorney General working under the supervision of the Director for the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General’s Office to address online harms, especially those to children.
Duties : Manage Tech investigations regarding social media, artificial intelligence, and other online platforms. Perform extensive e-discovery document review to gain an understanding of platform policies and conduct. Draft and negotiate detailed injunctive relief to increase online safety and potentially litigate Consumer Protection claims in state and / or federal court. Assist other attorneys with multistate and local enforcement, coordinate with other states and agencies in investigations, and research legal issues related to the Consumer Protection Act and defenses.
Ideal Candidate Profile : Seeking self-motivated attorney interested in serving the public, who works well with others, possesses attention to detail, and can manage an active caseload while pivoting between different topics. Trustworthiness and dependability are essential. Experience in litigation preferred. General familiarity and keen interest in technology industry, including social media, artificial intelligence, and privacy concepts, are essential.
