About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Must-Have : Strong skills with gynecological cases, including Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Description :

Oregon License is not required at time of submission.

Candidates can request a 90-Day Emergency License upon offer.

The unit has 4 main operating rooms, a Family Birth Center for C-sections, and an Endoscopy Room.

The number of cases per day varies.

Required certifications include BLS and ACLS.

Common cases include gynecological, general, orthopedic joint replacement, fracture and soft tissue repair, urological, ENT, and podiatry.

Candidates must have experience or strong skills in gynecological procedures.

Scrubbing is required for Registered Nurses, as employed Registered Nurses scrub.

Charge Nurse or House Supervisor positions are not available.

Operating room technicians do not scrub.

The electronic medical record system used is MEDITECH.

Shifts run from 0630-1500, Monday through Friday.

There is a call requirement from 1500-0630 on weeknights and from Friday at 1500 until Monday at 0630 on weekends.

Holiday call requirements are also in place.

There is a mandatory call / standby requirement with a response time of 20 minutes.

Floating may be necessary to assist in other departments if needed.

The scrub color is blue and is provided.

Unit-specific orientation will be provided.

The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing cancellations of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.

This position does not require a BSN.
