The Role
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead data center construction projects from preconstruction through final commissioning. You'll be responsible for delivering complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires deep technical expertise in critical systems and the ability to orchestrate multiple workstreams while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
What You'll Do
- Manage full project lifecycle for data center construction and upgrade projects
- Coordinate complex MEP systems including critical power infrastructure (UPS, switchgear, backup generators) and advanced cooling systems (CRAC / CRAH, chilled water, direct expansion)
- Drive project planning through schedule, budget management, and financial forecasting
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors ensuring scope alignment
- Review technical submittals, RFIs, and change orders for mission-critical infrastructure
- Enforce safety, quality, and redundancy protocols (including N+1 and 2N configurations)
- Lead stakeholder meetings to communicate project status, identify risks, and present mitigation strategies
- Monitor financial performance through cost-to-complete analysis and ongoing budget reconciliation
- Collaborate closely with field leadership to ensure alignment between design intent and construction execution
- Oversee commissioning activities and compile comprehensive turnover documentation for mechanical and electrical systems
- Anticipate project risks and implement proactive solutions to protect uptime commitments
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or 5+ years equivalent hands-on experience)5–8 years managing data center or mission-critical construction projectsTrack record of successfully delivering projects valued at $10M–$50M+In-depth knowledge of data center tier classifications (Tier I–IV) and reliability frameworksProficiency with tools including Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and Microsoft OfficeExceptional communication skills with a client-focused approachWhat We Offer
