Project Engineer

KBR is looking for a Project Engineer to provide technical and operational leadership for small projects or segments of larger, more complex initiatives. In this role, you will be involved in defining and reviewing project scopes and requirements, ensuring alignment with schedule and budget, and coordinating across disciplines and stakeholders to maintain project integrity. This position is based in KBR's Newark, DE office. A flexible work schedule is available, combining remote and in-office workdays required. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to : leading the development and review of project scopes, requirements, and deliverables; monitoring project progress to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence; coordinating with resource managers and supervisors to secure necessary reviews and approvals; managing internal and external interfaces to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps; facilitating clear communication and workflow tracking across project teams and third parties; and documenting interactions and decisions to maintain transparency and accountability. Required education, experience, and skills include a minimum of 7 years of experience in the EPCM industry, including leadership of multi-discipline engineering teams; proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex engineering interfaces; experience in FEL / FEED and EPCM project phases; professional engineer (PE) certification preferred; and willingness to travel domestically.
