Senior Software Engineer (Python & AWS)

This role is with a DeWinter Financial Services Partner

Boston, MA - Hybrid Role - We are targeting local candidates that can be in the Boston office 3 days per week.

12 Month + contract (or contract to hire, if desired)

We are targeting a mid or senior level software engineer with experience in Python, AWS cloud, and a background in financial services firms.

Overview :

The Senior Software Engineer will participate in high-level development on a project building robust, next-generation web applications for an asset management firm using modern technologies. Prior experience in financial services is preferred. The role involves working with client-facing teams, providing automated workflow solutions, and developing data management tools. Familiarity with various domains within an asset management firm (investment operations, performance and attribution, trading, etc.) is desirable.

Requirements :

• Senior or Technical Lead level development experience
• Several years of coding experience in Python
• Experience working in an AWS Tech Stack (Terraform, CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, Aurora, etc.)
• Experience building REST APIs
• Experience with CI / CD and Test Driven Development
• Experience building APIs and services for data access and integration
• Prior experience with Amazon Web Services is required
• UI experience with React or Node is a plus but not required
• Experience with Snowflake Data Platform is a plus but not required
