The basic function of the Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician is to perform various laboratory techniques to the best of his / her ability and report these clinical findings to the physician to aid him in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Qualifications : Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners required. Familiarity with medical terminology is required. Basic computer literacy is required. Experience with Windows, word-processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and database is preferred.
