Job Description

Keeps records of financial transactions, reconciles and balances accounts, and posts transactions and general ledger journal entries. This position will typically compile reports and variance details for multiple general ledger accounts (unposted items, debit card disputes). Will often assist the Payment Services Manager and / or accounting staff in daily accounting operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred 2-5 years’ experience in a centralized operations or branch environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Mindset of accuracy and strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and precision

Job Functions

  • Process and / or transmit banking financial transactions including : ACH / wire originations, check issuing, cash deposits, returns, disputes, stop payment transactions and other financial adjustment and notifications.
  • Manage and update financial entry logs associated with daily processing activities and maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders including members of the reconciliation team, account management and partner banks to examine and resolve outstanding reconciling items and to manage payment processes.
  • Adhere to the banks processing procedures and stringent deadlines for transaction handling.
  • Handle responsibilities with the utmost attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Troubleshoot and research all issues related to Payment Services.
  • Review and process transactions from Deposit Fraud Management tool.
  • Work on special projects as necessary
